CELEBRATING DIVERSITY: OUR KIMONO FASHION PHOTOSHOOT AT KELVINGROVE ART GALLERY AND MUSEUM

In fashion and beauty, the conventional standards of beauty have been challenged and reshaped, Kalopsia stands as a beacon of change. Our recent Kimono Fashion photoshoot at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was not just a showcase of our clothing and accessories but a testament to our commitment to diversity and inclusivity in the fashion industry.

At Kalopsia, our mission is clear - we aim to change the narrative in the fashion industry. We do so by deliberately choosing to work with real people who represent the length and breadth of society. For our Kimono Fashion photoshoot, we handpicked a group of models who not only embodied diversity but also brought their unique charm and charisma to set.

Diversity in all its forms was celebrated. Our models represented various backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, and body types. Each model had a story to tell, a beauty that transcended conventional ideals. It was a celebration of individuality, a reflection of the real world.

From the moment our models stepped into hair and make-up, the energy in the room was electric. The talented hair and makeup artists worked their magic, enhancing the natural beauty of our models while preserving their distinctiveness. The transformation was remarkable - a testament to the power of artistry and self-expression.

As we moved from hair and makeup to the hallowed halls of Kelvingrove, the excitement was palpable. The museum's rich history and stunning architecture provided a captivating backdrop for our Kimono shoot. With each step, we could feel the weight of responsibility on our shoulders, knowing that we were taking a step forward in changing the narrative of the fashion and beauty industry.

At the end of the day, as the last shots were taken, we gathered with our models at Kelvinbridge to reflect on the fashion and beauty industry. It was then that Zulaa Fleming, one of our remarkable models, spoke passionately about the changes she hopes to see. Their words resonated with all of us, "I think we need more diversity. More trans people, more people of colour, more plus-size people, more disabled people. I think we need variety, which I don't see now..."

We couldn't agree more with Zulaa. Their words encapsulated the essence of our mission. We believe that beauty knows no boundaries, no stereotypes, and no limitations. We are determined to be at the forefront of this change in Scotland, and our Kimono Fashion photoshoot was just one step on this transformative journey.

Our Kimono Fashion photoshoot at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was a celebration of diversity, a testament to the beauty of real people, and a pledge to redefine the fashion and beauty industry. We are proud to have worked with such an amazing group of models who brought their unique charisma to the forefront. At Kalopsia, we are committed to challenging the status quo and embracing the richness of diversity, making fashion and beauty accessible to everyone. Join us on this journey of change and celebration as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the fashion world. Together, we can create a more inclusive and beautiful future.
